In 1983, a small group of attorneys noticed Atlanta's growing number of homeless and wanted to help them. They formed a non-profit agency known as the Legal Clinic for the Homeless. In 1995, the agency received a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and changed its name. The Law Center now serves more than one thousand homeless people each year. The stability of society depends on justice for all.
