Since 1989, the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center has served as the premier health education facility in the state of Indiana. Reaching over 90,000 visitors a year, we offer more than sixty different high-tech, hands-on health education programs within seven content areas – general health, nutrition, human growth and development, drug education, fitness, mental health, and disease prevention and control. Our programs are developed by a volunteer advisory group of nurses, physicians, students, and teachers, including our own professional health educators.
In the fall of 2003, the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center’s Body Talk program was awarded the National Association of Health Education Centers’ “Richard B. Rush Award for Outstanding Innovation by a Health Education Center.”
