Established in 1967, UAA works to protect wildlife both on land and in the water, advocates spaying and neutering of companion animals, educates the public on matters of animal testing, promotes a vegan lifestyle and opposes the use and abuse of animals for entertainment purposes such as circuses, rodeos and stage shows. The UAA further advocates to strengthen and improve municipal government animal protection and management policies.
